Opening Vadim Repin’s Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Siberia

In November I had the honor to conduct the Memorial Concert for the end of the 2nd World War at the opening night of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Artistic Director Vadim Repin. To make it happen during corona was a true miracle.

Thank you Novosibirsk Philharmonic for a totally unique experience in the middle of the pandemic!! Your Shostakovich 5th was not only full of pain and sorrow but also filled with joy and hope, the perfect gift to the world is this dark time!! And thank you my dear Vadim Repin and Oleg Bely for making the impossible possible, sending this message of love with your Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk, Siberia. And Clara-Jumi Kang, you played Beethoven like a goddess!!
